Badminton horse trials fun ride


















My little group all had a wonderful time. All the stewards were so happy and smiling. You truly pulled off a magnificent feat of organisation.

Well done and thank you again. Thank you for a lovely day out and ride again. And congratulations pulling it off with everything going on. Myself and the group I was in are very thankful. What a wonderful day thank you very much. First time at this ride and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to the organisers and landowner. We had such a lovely day thank you to all and everyone of you giving up not only your Sunday but months of planning time as well!! What a treat to ride on the hallowed grounds. Diminutive Dylan, a small Shetland pony arrived at Badminton on Thursday 6th May excited about the prospect of attending the famous Horse Trials and was like many disappointed to find the Park devoid of horses and spectators due to the cancellation of the event because of the Covid pandemic.

The money was donated from the proceeds of The Badminton Ride which had gone ahead safely and successfully in spite of the difficulties posed. The popular Ride is held annually and gives riders of all abilities the chance to ride around the beautiful estate. We have continued to take in, rehabilitate and rehome horses and ponies throughout, despite our Visitor Centres being shut and fundraising events being cancelled, so the generosity of the riders and the event is doubly appreciated.

If you come through Badminton village you will hit a low bridge and have to turn around. Ride parking GL9 1AA. The Badminton Ride Sunday 25th September A new entrance, advance tickets only and a hybrid of paid-for and free BBC coverage are the headline changes for the Gloucestershire five-star, which returns for the first time since this year.

It is hoped that the decision will also help to speed up entry into the park. A new entrance, leading to an existing car park, will also open for the first time this year with the same aim.

Priority booking opened on 5 January and general booking, which is open to all, opens tomorrow 12 January. The two-hour BBC highlights and final results show will remain free to watch.
